Artist Comments
This is one of a series of paintings that were digitally enlarged as murals for an evolution exhibit at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT. This is the left half of the section dealing with marine creatures of the Mesozoic, including life from the Triassic and Jurassic periods. Most of the species depicted here are found as fossils in Europe, including a Nothosaur and Placodont on the lower left, an Icthyosaur giving birth at the top, and various species of Ammonites all over.
